The Helper Seminar and Evaluation is over! What a great day and can I just say Teaching Helpers, Danny Grayson and Charles Ottesen "ROCK" - they work so well together and do just a super job with helpers at all levels.
A great time was had by all, we had around 20 participants, 3 Helpers took the evaluation and passed with a level of "Basic" which means they can now work a trial. All three of the guys are with a new forming clubs, so welcome to the South Central Region and congratulations:
We also had a lot of help from a number of other SCR Clubs. Dianne, Lou and Marty from DFW were a great addition to the event and it was a lot of fun for the dogs and helpers to work dogs that are already trained to a SchH3 level. It makes the exercise make more sense when they are shown correctly. Our training members and members of SAWD, Jim Reid and Windy Pool also jumped right in there with their dogs to help along with Anthony Perkins from the new SAWD who brought his girl time and time again.
While the helpers were on the field, it was a time to visit with friends, both new and old and those that we haven't seen in a long time. And the SAWD club was very gracious with setting up the refreshments and food for the event.
